Meet Danny Schneider

EPCOR Payments Conference 2020 - Virtual Edition is one week away! Today, we’re getting to know conference speaker Danny Schneider.

Danny Schneider is the BSA Officer for Lead Bank, a community bank chartered in Missouri. Danny shared, “We strive to be nimble in serving our clients, compassionate to our coworkers and the community around us, open to new ideas and ways of doing things and find imaginative solutions to complicated problems.”

While this is his first time as a speaker, Danny has participated in our conference as an attendee in October 2018 in Overland Park, KS and says, “I look forward to participating so I can continue to learn new things and strengthen my knowledge of the payments industry.”

At this month’s conference, Danny will be presenting Best Practices in Cannabis Banking. He explained, “I think it is important for attendees to sit in on this session since the cannabis industry is rapidly growing. If financial institutions don’t adapt and learn how to bank this industry, then we aren’t doing our duty to provide quality banking to the underserved, only exacerbating the problems within our industry.”

If Danny could give one tip to payment professionals, it would be: don’t sacrifice compliance costs for profit. If you invest in compliance, everything else will follow.

On a personal level, Danny is married to his lovely wife who he says has a heart of gold and keeps him going in the right direction. The pair also have a five-month-old corgi puppy, and Danny jokingly said, “if she eats another pair of my pants, I may donate her to be a raffle prize at the Conference!” Danny’s wife calls him an adventure nerd because his two biggest hobbies are hiking and what he calls “nerd things” (video games, board games, movies, and reading science fiction).
