Hoot-E Introduces Jeanne Curtis |
Here are the top 5 things Hoot-E wants you to know about Jeanne Curtis, Executive Assistant: |
- After 25 years as a support person for C-level Management, Jeanne knows all about the importance of detail. Jeanne has been the Executive Assistant for the EPCOR flock for the last six years and will do whatever it takes to be there for our management team, Board of Directors and staff.
- When she is not working, you’ll likely find her on “Pinterest” getting ideas. She loves repurposing of old items, all kinds of crafts, sewing, cooking and always looking for a place she can put shiplap in her nest. Only those that watch “Fixer Upper” on HGTV will know what that means!
- Jeanne married her high school sweetheart and celebrated their 45th anniversary in May of 2018. The secret… don’t sweat the small stuff and keep a sense of humor. She is very proud of her three kids and when her nest grew empty she flew the skies as a Flight Attendant for Vanguard, a Kansas City-based airline - it was a childhood dream. But what is even better, she has eight grandkids, who are “pretty amazing” according to Grandma Jeanne!
- For the past 11 years in mid-December, Jeanne, the eldest sister, and her three younger sisters, Jeanan, Julea and Jennifer, get together for a weekend of Christmas cookie baking and reminiscing. She tells me they make family traditional recipes and experiment with new recipes each year… and yes, they have had a few Pinterest fails! At the end of the weekend they package the cookies and fly around delivering to family members, neighbors, church friends and some even make it to co-workers. The weekend is a tribute to their Mom who did a lot of baking and caring for her family of seven children. So… if you are counting, Jeanne also has three older brothers, Jan, Joe and Jon.
- Jeanne loves quotes and has them around her house and office for daily inspiration. This is one of her favorites: “To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children… to leave the world a better place… to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.” -Ralph Waldo Emerson
