Hoot-E Introduces Chris Richardson

Here are the top 5 things Hoot-E wants you to know about Chris Richardson, CPA, Director of Finance & Administration:

  1. Chris is one of the newer members of our flock! Chris is responsible for completing all the number crunching for the EPCOR Management Team, including building budgets, compiling financials and creating useful dashboards. He also heads up our Human Resources responsibilities and administrative duties such as facilities and risk management. Chris offered, “Of course, I could not do all of this by myself. I have a great team that helps put all these things together, so EPCOR can continue to serve our members.”
  2. At home, Chris’s nest is full of fun! He is married to his beautiful wife, Venessa, and together they have one adorable boy named Elvis. The pair also has an American Bulldog named Rock, and an American Tabby Cat named Fifi.
  3. Chris enjoys spending his free time volunteering with his Boy Scout Troop. He expanded, “I also love being outdoors where you can find me hiking, backpacking, camping, fishing, hunting, kayaking or enjoying any other adventure someone might suggest.”
  4. Sports also really fluff Chris’s feathers! He is an avid sports fan and played football, basketball and baseball in high school. He joked, “I often think I am a better coach than the coaches on TV, and my wife swears the announcers on TV are watching me since they repeat everything I say right after I say it. I also know the refs purposely make wrong calls against my favorite teams!”
  5. When asked what an unknown or surprising fact about himself would be, Chris shared, “I think that one of the most surprising things about me is that I have had reconstructive facial surgery (my friends say they can’t tell) due to a football injury. I should clarify…a FLAG football injury. My mom thought it was supposed to be a non-contact sport.”
